Droid

Jason and I have each had a BlackBerry for almost 2 years now but we're about to get Droided!  YAY!  I like my BB, but they are really losing the battle when it comes to web browsing and apps.  BlackBerry, at least what we have is lame-o with browsing and the apps are clunky and not so great (and there aren't many of them).

I'm not even what you would consider a heavy user but I'm excited to see what this thing can do.  I want to try out all these apps I keep reading/hearing about.  Thankfully, I barely ever talk on the phone so don't have to worry about it changing my brain waves.  When Jason started getting the new phone itch, my only requirement was a full QWERTY keyboard and then this weekend we checked out my brother and SIL's phones and Jason ordered them.  Although my parents one upped us and stopped on Sunday at the Verizon store and got theirs, so they're already Droided.

Now the bigger question, what will we do with our old BlackBerrys?  I'm sure Caroline would love to adopt it and pretend its real.  But I'm thinking that's not such a great plan.

Greg and I both had Blackberries
for a long time and got Driods back in August. I got the Droid 2 and he got the Droid X. We both LOVE them. SUCH an upgrade from having a Blackberry- you can actually browse the web!
But, now that Verizon has the iphone... I might have to get one at the end of the summer...

Love my iPhone but bottom line, I can't imagine life without a phone like this period. Hope you like the Droid. It is so nice to have the flexibility and access.
