Kid Update: Caroline

So here are some things about Caroline:

- She is currently obsessed with the digits on a digital clock.  I think they are just starting to learn to tell time on regular clocks at school and we have have several of them in the house, but we also have digital clocks on everything too.  For some reason she is constantly telling me what time is displayed and gets all excited when she sees certain numbers show up (7:11, 5:55:, or other repeaters).  It makes me crazy because she gets all excited and then mad when I won't stop what I'm doing to look.  I've told her that I've probably seen all the combinations before but for some reason she can't understand why I wouldn't want to see 4:44.

-  We hear "Liar liar pants on fire!" a LOT around our house lately.  Bryce says it too, but not as often as Caroline.  No more, "You're lying."  It's "LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!" when she doesn't believe you're being truthful.  Needless to say, this is something that pushes Bryce's buttons every.single.time.

- So remember the tooth drama from a month ago?  Well, that tooth still hasn't fallen out.  The bottom one has gotten much looser and it's just a matter of time before we have our first loss of a baby tooth.  But, that weird tooth on the top, I'm not sure what is going on with it, but it's gross.  It's always been a little discolored any way but now because of the dislodging, because she sucks her thumb, it's kind of moved over closer to the other top middle tooth and there's this big gap between it and the other tooth.  It almost looks like she DID lose a tooth the gap is so big.  But what's weird about it too is that when she wiggles it, the gum wiggles with it, unlike the other tooth that just wiggles by itself.  And now it seems more discolored, although still "white."  Jason wants to yank it but I don't think it's loose enough yet and we're not even allowed to talk about losing teeth around her because she'll minorly freak out at first.  Of course, Bryce is all set and ready to lose his first tooth.

- And finally, the best update, Caroline made the honor roll again!  Although this was her first official report card since the first quarter was a conference and an "assumed" honor roll status.  We are so proud of her.  The grading system is weird in that it's not A,B,C...yet.  The best mark is "CD" for Consistently Demonstrates and that's for a number of different items under each subject.  She had almost all CD with only a few Ps (Progressing), and nothing lower.  But what I was most proud of was the fact that she received all 1's for her behavior, respect for others, following directions, and doing her work!  Good grades are great, but making an effort is the most important.  Ms. B's comments were especially heartwarming and I admit to getting misty when I read them.
