Well, the floor is finally pretty much done. Well, at least the main living area is. The powder room and front closet still need to be done, but those are both easy spots to take "offline" as opposed to the kitchen. Jason still needs to do all the edging along the woodwork and cabinets, but that's a simpler task and one that can be done in the evening or in shorter spurts of time. Basically it took 3 full days to get it all down, which isn't bad considering the area is anything but a simple square.

I think it looks wonderful and I am already having a hard time remembering what it used to look like. Jason's brother, Jeremy, deserves a huge thanks for coming here and spending 3 entire weekend days getting this task done with Jason. He's extremely patient and detail oriented - 2 traits well suited for flooring installation. Jason said he doesn't know if he could have done it without him. Jeremy has banked a lot of hours helping Jason over the past 7 years so when Jer eventually buys a house, we certainly owe him in the help department.

I love how it just warms up the entire space and makes it look so much more finished. Now I can't wait to find the perfect kitchen dining set to complete the transformation.

Here are a few photos to give you the gist. I'd take more except the kitchen is still kind of a mess and I don't need to showcase photos of my cluttered looking house.

Awesome. Wasn't it always there though? It looks so great that I can't remember what was there before!

K, I'm so glad you don't remember it. It was this white vinyl that we couldn't get clean anymore. Disgusting.

Thanks everyone!
