Whew! Well, the wait is over and my limbo is behind me. My job is safe, unfortunately I can't say the same for another person in my office but I think that person will end up being okay in the long run after the shock wears off. And thankfully, my job won't be terribly affected by the loss of a staff member either.

My supervisor is hopeful that this will be the lowest point we hit before we finally start seeing some recovery, but only time will tell. I feel very grateful for my own job along with the fact that the people I work closest with are unaffected - working here without those ladies would be difficult to say the least. Especially my "work mother." (I don't have a work "husband" but I definitely have a mother here!)

So at the end of the day, things are looking peachy. My stress level has gone down significantly, the craziest application time at work is coming to a close and I'm looking forward to spring and summer. I'm not sure what the future holds for me career-wise but I'm going to keep my options open in case some perfect, 30 hour a week job comes my way. I love working in higher education though, so it's hard to tarry too far from the field.

Deep sigh of relief. Whewwwwwwwww!
