Erika's Corn Chowder

I love corn chowder and haven't yet found a recipe that I really liked so I read a bunch online and then kind of made up my own. Jason and I really liked it and the girls did too. Bryce, well, 4 out of 5 isn't bad. And there's some left for another night. Mmmmm!

1 onion - chopped
4 pieces of bacon torn into small pieces (I used turkey)
3 1/2 cups milk (I used skim)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 can creamed corn
1 can corn kernels
2 cans condensed potato soup
3 medium sized potatoes (white or red) peeled and chopped into bite sized pieces
salt/pepper to taste

Saute onion and bacon until onions are tender - about 7 minutes. Add soup, milk, chicken broth, both cans of corn, and potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender. You may want to add more chicken broth or milk depending on how thick you want the chowder to be.

This was wonderful and totally a comfort food. Caroline declared it was better than mac and cheese yet she still didn't finish the bowl. But she did say that she was so glad she tried it.
