Me Likey

There are a bunch of things I'm really loving right now so I thought I'd share. Who doesn't like a good recommendation???

Burt's Bees Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Shea Butter Body Butter OMG, I am in love with this stuff. Jason got me some for mother's day and I am hooked. I had read about some of their other body butter being really great but never got around to trying it. It smells like sweet honey and it's so totally UNGREASY that you can't even imagine that it will be very helpful on your dry skin. But don't let it fool you - this stuff is mega powerful. I've had really dry, rough elbows for a while now and have tried so many things to soften them. Everything from regular old lotion, to Eucerin, to Aquaphor - nothing helped for very long. But after using this stuff twice a day for a few days - my elbows are soft again! I couldn't believe it. And it's 99% natural without parabens and all that other gunk that is always in the news so it's great to share with the kids too. The other great thing about is that a little goes a long way so I'll have this tub for a while. Bryce always sniffs me after I put it on and tells me how good I smell. He's even tried to lick me.

Coleman Quick Pump A few weeks ago, we bought the kids a new splash pool. It was hot, the pool was big and it took almost TWO hours to inflate with a little pump that Jason has in his car. Aside from the fact that it was hot and it took forever, after you got it pumped up, you really didn't want to deflate it knowing how long it would take to pump it up. So, Jason found this pump online and we hoped for the best. We totally deflated the pool after the April hot spell and got it back out this weekend. In 10 minutes, that pool was ready for water!! I could NOT believe it. This little thing is mighty!!! No more pumping up inflatable beds anymore either. Definitely worth every penny!!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Katie convinced me to take a look at this show on Bravo and I must say it's my new guilty pleasure. I'd heard rumblings of The Real Housewives series but never checked it out. Whoa. I had some inklings about how the NJ Housewives might be after being very familiar with The Sopranos for many years, but I never expected this. OMG. The decadence is really unbelievable. It's really amazing to see people with such overinflated egos and it's like a train wreck - you just can't help but watch!!! Their warped sense of reality really is amazing and it's hard to believe you're living in the same world as them. Total guilty pleasure!

Brianna's New American Salad Dressing - I read about this dressing in Real Simple a few months back and was intrigued for many reasons. One, I love balsamic vinaigrettes and two, I've been looking for a creamy balsamic vinaigrette after tasting one out at restaurant. I was NOT disappointed. OMG, I cannot get enough of this stuff. I want to eat salad all the time with this stuff all over it. Mmmm. Although maybe I shouldn't tell you about it - now there won't be any left for me!

Canon EOS Digital Rebal XSi Well, I think I've made the decision on what kind of SLR I want. I'm going to go with the Canon because I've had a Canon Powershot for 6 years and the way the Rebel is set up is very much like the Powershot (except waaay more advanced). Plus, I got to handle my BIL's this past weekend and I must say I'm very excited about eventually getting one. I had hoped to be getting one this summer but alas, life happens. We just got a $2,000 bill to fix the suddenly ailing Passat and since the car is only 8 years old and is good shape otherwise, it just makes sense to fix it. But oof, $2K is steep. So, my camera plans are put on hold. Not like I have all the time in the world to learn it anyway. Oh well, pretty pictures of my kids can wait....
