Well, I'm about 90% sure that Caroline has the flu. Just about all the symptoms the CDC outlines as flu symptoms are covered. Sudden onset, high fever, headache, tiredness, cough, nasal congestion..... And she even had the flu shot. But, our family doc told me a few weeks ago that the flu shot was wrong again this year. WTH? Do they really expect people to keep getting it year after year when it seems the past few years it's been wrong?

And according to the Google's Flu Trends, the entire country is on moderate alert for the flu - which is abnormally late this year. And Maryland is on high alert. So now I'm just crossing my fingers the other 2 don't get it. Piper has a cold of some sort but no more fever or any other symptoms. And I'm really hoping Jay and I don't get it - obviously we don't want to be sick but more so because that means taking care of the kids is very difficult. I had the flu in 2000 and I remember it all too well. Of course back then, I was alone and in grad school and could just lay around for a few days. Heh. I don't think I'd get that "vacation" this time.
