Happy 5th Birthday, Sweet Caroline!

Happy birthday to my first born! How can you possibly be FIVE years old? How can I have a CHILD who is five? A child who talks back, makes me crazy, and then melts my heart all in the span of 5 minutes? You are such a beautiful and intelligent little girl. You always have the most interesting and thoughtful things to say. You are wise beyond your years many days, but you also are still so innocent and in love with your world.

Sweet Caroline, good times never seemed so good. I love you sweetheart and I hope that your 6th year is wonderful and full of joy as the first 5 years have been. I'll never forget that snowy night on December 4, 2003 when you came into our lives. It seemed completely magical and I'll never forget the overwhelming feeling of love when they put you in my arms. It's a feeling that will keep my heart warm for the rest of my life.

Here are some photos from your first 5 years. Don't grow up too fast, I love you so much! Happy Birthday, Caroline!

OMG, that was the best photo montage! I seriously teared up. It's hard to believe she's five. I can so clearly remember eagerly anticipating the call that she had arrived. Then when Jason called me and said "She's here", I could hear her crying in the background and I cried. I was so overjoyed for you two. And so excited to be an Aunt!!! Happy Birthday Caroline Elizabeth :)

Your slide show was awesome. She is an adorable little girl. Your blog was very heart warming and I think you should print that out so, one day when she is older and thinks that you are the worst person in the world, she can read this and see how much you love her. Your children are very cute and you can tell they are very happy children that are full of love. There is nothing like having children. It is the best feeling to know that you brought these human lives into this world and you know that they will make there place in the world and make you very happy to say, "that is my child!" I know my children have done that already many times! I miss my kids being little like your guys but, there is also a whole other bundle of happiness when they are teenagers. Some great, some good and some just your typical teenageer. I can't complain I am very happy the way my children have grown up and I am very happy with their decisions that they have made in their lives already. Keep up the great work and enjoy all the moments with them. It goes by really fast! Like you said in your blog, how could your baby be 5 already! The next thing you will know you will be asking yourself how do you have children that are already able to drive!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLINE! I cannot believe you are five already! I remember getting the email with photos when you were born...and it makes me teary to watch your photo montage because I see so many photos similar to those I now have of Gretchen...and I can't believe she'll be 2 soon! These years fly...clean less, play more...that's my motto. HUGS to you!
