A Little Flukey

Well, it seems I'm over whatever the heck was dragging me down on Monday. It truly felt like I just had this EXTREMELY wet, heavy blanket of exhaustion on me all day that I could NOT shake off. I left work around 3:45pm and made it home in time to lay down for like 20 minutes before Jay and the kids got home. That actually helped and by the time they all arrived home, I felt a little bit refreshed and ready to play with the kids. But I did get to bed before 9:30 that night and decided to take a dose of Benedryl to see if possibly my exhaustion could be a result of allergies since you hear all the time about how run down allergies can make you. I didn't feel 100% yesterday, but MUCH better. By mid-morning, I had shaken off my sleepies and was doing fine. I'm doing a little better this morning too and feel my usual energy returning even if I do still feel a little nauseous. But this is kind of what I'm used to/expected for this stage of pregnancy. I do need to step away from my desk more often - I just get so caught up in what I'm doing, I forget to take breaks. It's going to be lovely again today, so a short walk really should be in order. I was doing so well with that in the fall before I got pregnant and it really broke up my day. Too bad there really aren't any places on campus that close to me for me to sit outside and eat my lunch. There are some nice benches right outside my building but they are right next to the road and lots of delivery trucks (and noisy cars) are constantly driving by, so not exactly a nice place to sit - and it's in shade at lunch time. I wish there was a picnic table closer...
