Jason, I Love You

Not only did my husband notice that our master bathroom needed some cleaning, he offered to clean the shower (the worst part). So after the kids went to bed, we went to work. I did the garden tub, toilet and sinks while he scrubbed the heck out of the shower. Oh boy did he scrub. So in about 45 minutes we got that bathroom back into tip top shape and I don't have to dread a chore this weekend.....

I am fairly meticulous when it comes to actually cleaning. You should see the tools in my cleaning bucket - an old toothbrush, an old steak knife, cleaning gloves, a variety of sponges and cleaners.... It's just actually doing the cleaning these days. I wouldn't say I've completely been lax since pregnant as the powder room is generally spic and span and I do a thorough cleaning of the kitchen most weekends but I just haven't had the interest in cleaning my bathroom as I watched it get grungy. I mean, no one else really sees it but us even though it had been a few weeks since the last cleaning. But still, I told Jason this past weekend it needed cleaning and he said it didn't matter. However, I think he wanted a try at seeing how clean he could get that shower.

A couple that cleans together is a couple that stays together, as far as I'm concerned. How did I get so lucky?

You are welcome! I do contribute to the mess as well so I shouldn't be exempt from cleaning it.

I'm just glad to see someone else blogging about cleaning almost as gleefully as I do. ;)

My husband, unfortunately, doesn't do bathrooms... but he does do all the laundry on the weekends (way better than I do, I might add) and unloads the dishwasher every morning.. so I am grateful too. ;)

Sounds like our DHs are two peas in a pod. Jason also usually does most of the laundry and is often the dishwasher go-to guy as it runs over night and he's up at 4am - I appreciate having an empty dishwasher so much in the AM. He usually doesn't do bathrooms either, so this was more appreciated than usual. Oh and did I mention he vacuums the whole house EVERY weekend? (He likes vacuuming and I say, more power to him b/c I hate it!)

Oh and I generally don't mind cleaning bathrooms - I actually enjoy doing the powder room and kids bathroom but the shower stall in our bathroom is just aggravating. Someday when we have some time and money to do so, I want to replace it b/c there are things about it that just attract mold and dirt.
