12 Weeks

Well, it appears I've made it to 12 weeks. :) The baby over in the sidebar looks like it's fattened up. I think this is when the baby is technically called a fetus now in utero. And while I'm still getting headaches, having food aversions, and having times where I just feel like barfing, I'm hoping that the light is at the end of the tunnel. I have an OB appointment this week and I should get to hear the heartbeat for the first time (last time I just saw it).

And well, I hate to admit this, but I think maternity clothes - at least pants - are in my very near future. Ugh, all of a sudden I cannot button my jeans and I just feel like I have a gut. Thanks to the Bella Band a friend lent me, I've been continuing to wear my regular jeans not buttoned, but that's probably not going to last much longer. I've really got to evaluate my maternity clothes inventory today because I'm heading out to Old Navy to exchange a few Christmas items and I might have to use the credit to get maternity pants to get me through until I need a full panel - barf.

I LOVED the Bella Band... I didn't have one with my first pregnancy and I don't know how i lived without it. I was able to wear regular jeans and shorts unbuttons (and eventually unzippered) for quite awhile... and then, when I got to the point where my shirts were riding up and revealing my maternity pants panels, it covered that too... awesome product!!! :) (it was also kinda nice in the first two weeks or so postpartum. ;)

I've got plenty of maternity clothes for you - just e-mail me if you are interested in seeing what I've got :)

Thanks Viv - I sent you an email!

Erin - I'm starting to like mine more and more. I only have a black one, so I just ordered a white one. I know I'll be using it a lot to hold up my pants since I had a bad problem with that both pregnancies. The low rise look good but they don't stay up for me!

heehee can I laugh at you? :)

I'd say by 15 I was 100% in maternity clothes. Befor that, the only regular things I could wear from about 12 weeks on were the ones that were a size too big. I just spent a ton at Kohl's on new pants (transition as the full panel are still big) and some nice shirts. Happy shopping!

I too loved the Bella Band! Post pregnancy I used mine as a bra to sleep in. Very soft and easy to breast feed in ; )
