Thanksgiving Anticipation

I know, I know, it's not even feeling like fall yet and I'm already starting to think about Thanksgiving! But it's my favorite time of year.

We spend every other Thanksgiving with the other spouses extended family and this year is Jason's family's turn. (Like they are so blessed by us coming, right?) And it's been decided that my SIL, Kelly and her husband, Jesse are going to host the meal at their house. FUN!

I just sent her an email and asked if she'd be interested in me bringing this along:

Butternut-Cider Bisque

Doesn't that sound wonderful? And I also have a few other Thanksgiving-esque recipes I've offered up as well - sweet potato casserole, pumpkin bread pudding, or baked macaroni & cheese (a staple at all of my grandmother's holiday meals).

Oooo, I can almost smell the cinnamon and nutmeg already. I need to buy some apple cider!

ETA: I forgot to give my friend Dawn major props for telling me about this recipe! She just made it and said it's VERY good!

Every other year huh? We have all the families over together at once! I'm thankful Jay's an only child since he's got A LOT of cousin (many mouths to feed!) Good think it's a potluck kinda thing too!

I can't wait for some good fall weather too!
