Mmmmmmmm! Sushi!

My MIL picked up the kids last evening so that they could spend the night at her house (and the day today) so Jay and I decided to take advantage of a free evening and actually do something different. Usually we're more likely to clean or do some other household task when we're kid free, so this is a big deal for us.

My mom had been raving about this new sushi/hibachi place near us so we thought we'd give it a try. I'd had a little bit of sushi before and liked it but Jason never had and was interested. There weren't many people there, given it was a Monday night and the first day of school for so many people, but it was great! The sushi was so tasty and even though we were rather conservative in our choices, we really enjoyed it. Next time, I want to go w/ my sister who really knows her sushi so I can try some bolder choices.

After that we ventured to Home Depot so that Jay could exchange the oversized lightbulbs he mistakenly purchased for the family room. Jason has a knack of NEVER buying the right sized light bulbs on the first try, so it's kind of a joke with us now. But fortunately, these ended up being just right. After that we made a trip to Barnes and Noble to get my sister a birthday gift. I also just had to pick the kids up each a new Berenstein Bears book since they are really into them now. My mom has oodles of them and we have a few too. (But did you know that the Bear family had a 3rd baby? I sure didn't!) I ended up choosing one on "Blessings" and "going out for the team" and am looking forward to reading to them tonight.

For really good sushi try Chopstix on Honeygo Rd in the new shopping center with the Weis and CheeBurger CheeBurger! I think they have the best sushi around!
