Back to the Grind and it's not so bad!

Well after having an easy start to the week with not working on Monday and the kids being at the IL's yesterday, I was a little apprehensive about this morning of getting the kids up at their regular time and over to Cathy's. But my anxiety was for naught since it went swimmingly well. Both kids woke up easily, were happy and Caroline completely dressed herself with almost no assistance (other than me picking out her clothes and making sure her shoes were on the right feet). And then we got to Cathy's and they were greeted with LOTS of hugs. She missed them so much - how did I get so lucky to have such a great daycare provider? Caroline filled her in very quickly on how things were and we chit chatted since I had plenty of time to get to work given the fact that we left the house at 7:05! (YAY ME! It's amazing how easy it is to get out the door when everyone cooperates!) So after many hugs and kisses for me, I left knowing the kids were looking forward to playing with Cathy's kids all day. They're sure going to miss them when school starts on 8/27.

As for me, the stomach virus still remains in some parts. I ate a small, but regular meal last night and didn't feel terrible. So this morning I had a very small cup of coffee and some of my zucchini bread and now my stomach feels like it has lead in it. Plus, my water still tastes like crap so I made a quick stop at Starbucks since I still had money on my giftcard and picked up a uber delicious Shaken Blueberry White Tea Lemonade. Going out on a limb a little since the last time I experimented it was awful. But given my usual love for their shaken iced tea lemonades, I knew it would be good. And while my mouth his happy to have something that doesn't taste like swill, my stomach still feels gross. My sister who had it first said she's still not over it. Yay.
