The Assigning Phase

I remember when Caroline went through this and here it is, Bryce's turn. Bryce now has to point out everything and say who it belongs to. I forgot how cute this was with Caroline. He brings you shoes and anything he thinks belongs to you and says, "Dat's mommy shoe." Of course in our house, most things belong to "Ca-Ca." Ca-Ca (hard C) is the name Bryce has given to Caroline. He calls for her first thing in the morning and if he doesn't see her around he'll ask "Where Ca-Ca?" I know Ca-Ca is a bit of a slang term for excrement, but when he says it, it hardly sounds bad. I'll avoid telling Caroline what most people think the term "ca ca" means until he is able to say her name a little better.

And Caroline's big news is that she finally can completely dress herself. I think she's been able to do it by herself for a while now, but was convinced she could NOT do it and then would not. But every morning this week, I've laid out her clothes and she's gotten herself dressed. I usually have to help her get her pj shirt off a little bit, but other than that, it's all her. I'm so proud of her and I'm amazed at how much nicer my morning goes when I don't have to wrestle clothes on her.
