My Day at Home

I decided early in the week to take today off of work - kind of for a mental health day and also because of what we have going on this weekend. And it was a really nice day. The 3 of us were up by 8am (oh to sleep so late - I was in heaven!) and I got both kids fed and we were out the door to the grocery store by 9:45. Thanks to Jason who helped me to get the grocery list together the night before so all I had to do was print it out. Our anal retentive MS Access grocery list compiles our list in aisle and then alphabetical order, so no trip to the grocery store ever takes very long. Both kids rode in the front of a fire truck cart as they snacked on fruit snacks and each had a sippy cup of water. I filled that cart up so fast and we were out of there in less than 45 minutes. Getting there so early on a Friday definitely has it's benefits. We stopped at the carwash on our way home to wash off the salt from the week before. (This better be IT, Mother Nature!!!) Caroline LOVED every second of it, but Bryce cried for mommy the entire time. So my newly, salt free van cruised home and we got all the groceries unloaded and I packed a quick lunch and we were out the door to check out the new park/playground near our house. The kids had a fabulous time since we were the only ones there and had free reign of the place. And thankfully, a little rain shower made it easy to tell them it was time to go. They both happily went down for naps and then we all went for a walk when they woke up and followed that up with some side walk chalk drawing. A busy day, but definitely a good one.

It sounds like you had a really fun Friday off. It was beautiful down here this weekend so we spent a lot of time outside.
