A 14 Seed Will Win it ALL!

Thanks to an idea I got from Katie about having Emily pick a bracket, I decided to let Caroline do the same thing last night. She'd been interested on Sunday when I was doing mine online and kept calling it "steps." So last night at dinner I pulled out a printed bracket and gave her the choices of each game. And the result? She's got Miami (OH) winning it all! It's never happened that a 14 seed went that far, but hey, I guess there's a first time for everything. (Oh and I should add, I made NO comment about the fact that Miami is where mommy went to graduate school - I think she just liked saying Miami.) She did have Maryland going to the Elite 8, but then they get knocked off by, you guess it, Miami. Of course as we all know, you don't need to necessarily pick the overall winner to win a bracket pool as a lot of your points are generated in the first few rounds. So I've put Caroline into the pool with my family and some close friends and we'll see how she does. I'll keep everyone updated at her progress. I have to admit though, it will be funny to see if a 3 year old can beat some of the more seasoned and informed NCAA basketball fans.
