My Perceptive Kid

Tonight after we put Caroline down for bed, Jason heard a loud thump. So he went up and she was in bed with a heavy book that she had apparently dropped on the floor when attempting to bring it back to her bed. So he leaned down and kissed her and she says, "Ew, daddy you're downstairs drinking beer, aren't you?" (He'd been drinking one of his homebrews while catching up on email.)

The kids have also really been playing more together. We're enjoying hearing squeals of laughter and "talking" between the two of them more now. This evening they were in the family while we were getting dinner ready and I heard laughter and there they were rolling around on each other and hugging and laughing. I got a video of it, but it might take a while to upload. It's pretty darn cute.

Oh and I updated our family's website if you know the URL. If you don't, just let me know.

Things are good with all of us - it's just I'm feeling zapped a lot lately because work is crazy. I swear it was 4:30pm before I knew it today and I didn't even get to some of the usual things I do. The great news is that the student staff are doing such a fabulous job even with one of the PCU/scanners down. We learned the hardway last year with a new process we're doing and we totally have gotten it down now. So while I'm busy, I'm not stressing that the faculty are going to go apeshit on us. (Okay, enough work talk!)
