I can't stop

I need to pack my lunch. I need to go to bed. But what am I doing? Watching Nip/Tuck? Nope that's being recorded as I type. I'm going CNN.com crazy w/ the election stuff even though I KNOW there will be no winner announced tonight. But the problem is that the new features they have on there to track the races are so cool. And it's up to the minute accurate!! I've got it tailored to the ones I'm interested in and I can see so much data. I love data.

But what I don't get is that CNN.com is projecting O'Malley as the winner, but he's off and on the current vote leader with less than 25% of the precincts reporting and that's not even considering the over 190,000 absentee ballots (who knows how many were collected!). I would be VERY surprised if the election was decided by more than 100,000 votes to be perfectly honest. This is a tight election. How can they project a winner so early. Although Al Gore was projected the winner in the 2000 presidential election too and look how that ended up. So I'm not feeling happy or disappointed right now. We'll just have to see. Although it is interesting to see that the many of the races across the country are yielding the expected results of ousting Republican incumbents due to the dissatisfaction with the current administration. But when you're in a dominant 2 party system, it's just a pendulum that swings back and forth and eventually it will come back around. Did I tell you I hate a 2 party system? But I digress.....

I have a feeling I'll have a tough time doing work tomorrow morning. I'll want to play on CNN. Statistics, statistics, statistics!

Oh and by the way, we were bombarded with more phone calls today. Bill Clinton called yesterday along with Bob. Then today Bill called twice, Bob called once, and Spike Lee called at 8:15pm. Ummm, the polls closed at 8pm. DOH! I was kind of sad not to get a call from Marty. He's kind of hot.

Time to pack my lunch.

Martin is good friends with my parents. He and his band played at my sister's wedding. I could watch him all day.

It's going to be so cool to have him as Gov.
