Let's Talk about Car Rear Ends

Because I spend about an hour a day commuting, I have lots of time to think about things I see on the road. One thing that has struck me recently is the amount of things people put on the backs of their cars. It used to be the most you would see would be a bunch of bumper stickers, but in the past few years, people have taken it to a new level.

Of course, now there are those annoying magnetic ribbons that everyone seems to have. Somehow I doubt that much of the money that people spend on those things goes to the cause they supposedly support. Personally, this is a bumper sticker I can get behind....

But maybe that's just me.

Another thing that has been bugging the crap out of me lately are the people who are using the back winshield of their car as a place to memorialize a dead family member. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people showing their grief for the loss of someone they care about, but is putting up a huge "billboard" to them on their Chevy F-10 really a loving memorial to that person? I get that you miss them, but I don't know if a big sign saying, "Danny Boy we will love you forever" is very heartfelt. Especially if they have one of those "Piss on Ford" Calvin pictures right next to it. (Can't wait to explain those high class pictures to my kids in a few years!)
