Another day home with the kiddos

So I made it through the rest of the day at work yesterday feeling pretty crappy and only left an hour early. But Bryce continued to have lower GI issues but it wasn't as bad as Monday and Cathy said she was fine keeping him there - he took a 4 hour nap! Why doesn't he do that at home? Anyway, so we get home and after dinner (a dinner that Caroline barely touched) I was in the playroom with Caroline and she just laid down and started sucking her thumb. Very strange for her b/c usually in the evenings all I hear is "Wanna play with me mommy?" Turns out, she had a 102 fever!! Poor kid. So I got some motrin into her and some alligator juice and she was feeling better. But obviously that meant no daycare the next day. So b/c Jason had some meetings at work, I called in.

I woke up feeling not so great, but not as bad as yesterday and by mid-day I was feeling more like myself again. I think Bryce is on the mend too as his appetite seems to be returning. Caroline didn't have anymore symptoms and no fever, so who knows what that was. So it looks like we'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Saturday is mine and Jason's 6th anniversary. It's the first time our anniversary will be on a Saturday again and tonight as we were sitting at dinner with Bryce screaming at us from the pack and play and Caroline whining about not wanting her food (this is a normal mealtime for us) I looked at him and said, "6 years ago right now we were at our wedding rehearsal." Got a big smile from him for that. It's just always funny to think about that kind of stuff and about how different two days can be. 6 years ago I would have hoped to have a kid by now, but it's just so funny to think about the reality of it all. It makes you wonder what things are lying in the future for you and what you'll be doing on this exact day 6 or 16 years from now.
