The Blogging that never was...

So it seems when I'm not sitting in front of my computer, I always have all of these great ideas for blog entries. I swear, right before I go to sleep at night and when I'm nursing Bryce seem to be the most constructive time for me to think and I come up with great ideas of things to write about. But when I actually have a minute to do so, I can't even remember them.

Anyway, a BIG congratulations to my sister for passing her defense of her master's thesis with FLYING COLORS! I know it's a big weight off of her shoulders and she is so happy to almost be done. I cannot believe it's almost been 2 years since she started. She's already got 2 years of funding waiting for her if she decides to start a doctoral program in the next 2 years too. She's such a smarty pants and I am so proud. But I guarantee if you met her, you'd NEVER guess how much of an academic she is. She's a really great person and I'm always so proud that she's my sister. People always love to hear my stories about her since she has done so many amazing and crazy things in her short life already. I mean, how many people do you know that have sailed to Key West (with only one other person to man the boat), been an urban bike messenger for over a year (and was hit by a car while doing so) and has growing esteem in the academic world of ecology?? I love you Chrissa and I'm so happy for you!! Can't wait till you come back to Baltimore for good!
